Not my quilt

I know Katie has already seen these, but I wanted to share my sister's first quilt. I can't get over how lovely it is. She's got a great sense of color. I helped find the design for this quilt, which is basically improvisational. She cut a bunch of strips around the same length and varying widths, sewed them together into roughly square blocks, then sewed the blocks together into long strips, then sewed the strips together. We squared things up as we went along. I just can't get over how well it turned out. Simple and beautiful.
