I think that I shall never see.....

A quilt block as cute as one with bug parts on it.
It's that time again, time for the Bonnie Hunter Mystery Quilt. This one's called Easy Street and she claims it won't be as difficult as the last two. I was along for the ride on last year's and it was a lot. A lot of work, a lot of sewing, a lot of fun, and a lot of being pleased that I managed to finish it, and that I like the quilt. A lot.
So these delightful little critters are part of step one, which is to make 194 (?) of these 4 patch units out of 2" strips, so yes, approximately 776 2" squares sewn together into little units that finish at 3" in the quilt. Wheee!

  1. I agree, the bug parts are sweet. However, I am partial to the coffee cups. I'm doing this quilt too - my first one with Bonnie. It's going to be fun and challenging. I just started quilting about four years ago too and the learning never seems to end.

    1. I know working on Bonnie's Orca Bay quilt gave me lots and lots of practice with triangles. I still struggle with them. I'm getting better with each quilt, though.

  2. Cute bug parts! This is also my first mystery and only my fifth quilt ever. I'm very lucky that I found Bonnie and have been following her ever since I started quilting! This is going to be fun!

  4. I've also joined a flickr group for people doing the quilt. There are discussion forums and talk of sewing via Google groups.

    1. I am too. I'm almost done, so a new clue tomorrow should be right on time.
